Bella Proto is the Founder and Executive Director of Sundance Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence through safe housing, relocation assistance, and long-term stability programming.
She leads the organization’s strategic direction, program development, and operational execution, including the implementation of Sundance Foundation’s core “Pay & Place” model—designed to provide rapid relocation and structured support for individuals and families transitioning out of unsafe environments.
With a background in business operations and community-focused initiatives, Bella brings a results-driven approach to nonprofit leadership, prioritizing efficiency, accountability, and measurable impact. Her work is centered on closing critical gaps in emergency response systems and ensuring survivors have immediate access to safety, resources, and a sustainable path forward.
Kamil Gerard Ahmed is the Founding Chair of Sundance Foundation and a senior operating executive and board director with extensive experience in governance, operations, and risk management.
He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of an agribusiness and FMCG company, where he oversees enterprise-wide operations including procurement, logistics, risk, compliance, and corporate functions, with full profit and loss responsibility.
Previously, Mr. Ahmed held senior leadership roles at a sovereign wealth fund portfolio company, where he led legal, risk, and compliance functions across a complex, multi-stakeholder environment. During this time, he was recognized as General Counsel of the Year. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at an international law firm, advising on complex, multi-jurisdictional financings, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
Mr. Ahmed brings deep expertise at the intersection of operations, governance, and risk, with a strong focus on building scalable organizations and strengthening the connection between board oversight and execution. He has advised and supported organizations in establishing robust governance frameworks, accountability structures, and operational foundations in complex environments.
He serves on multiple boards and governance bodies, with particular emphasis on audit, risk, and governance oversight. Mr. Ahmed holds a law degree from Columbia Law School and is completing the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Davis Golding brings over 30 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, private enterprise, international finance, and investment and commercial banking. He has served on the Boards of Directors of multiple organizations, including roles as Chair of key board committees, providing strategic oversight and governance.
Throughout his career, Mr. Golding has held several senior leadership positions. He served as Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for two international private equity funds that deployed capital to financial institutions focused on underserved communities across Asia and Africa. In addition, he was the Chief Operating Officer of a community development bank supporting small rural and urban communities on the U.S. West Coast, and later served as Chief Executive Officer of a Hong Kong–based merchant banking operation.
Mr. Golding holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
